Population Register Centre’s online services now open

Publication date 13.2.2017 9.26
Press release

The Population Register Centre has improved its services for public administration, business and organisation customers. The most central authorisation and agreement processes between the Population Register Centre and its organisation customers have been made available electronically.

As of 13 February 2017, customers can start using services in the Population Register Centre, such as information services and certification authority services, electronically.

E-services will replace the current applications on paper and procedures based on pdf forms entirely. Customers will not be able to see their currently existing authorisations and agreements in e-services, but will see the documents made through e-services from now on.

Traditional signatures have been replaced with strong electronic identification and signature in e-services. Completed decisions or agreements will from now on be delivered in electronic format through e-services.

This reform is aimed at making the services easier to use, providing better visibility into the processing of the matter and speeding up the process.

To use e-services, the customer is required to register for the service. The address for e-services, the service description and the description of file can be found on Eevertti, the Population Register Centre’s website for customers, at eevertti.vrk.fi/asiointi. The website also contains the instructions for registering for e-services and an introductory video. The service will in future be developed on the basis of the feedback received.
