The Digital and Population Data Services Agency warns of scam messages being sent in the name of Suomi.fi services. In addition to text messages, scam messages are also being sent via social media channels. The message in question is a phishing message that attempts to get the user to click a link in the message.
The authentic-looking message says that the Suomi.fi service is involved in deceptive activities and the use of the service is restricted. The recipient is asked to return Suomi.fi service back to use by clicking a link in the message. The link leads to a scam website.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency would like to remind you that authorities, banks and companies do not send links to their websites by e-mail or text message.
Follow these instructions
Do not click on any links in e-mail or text messages. Do not access the services through links or search engine results. Instead, enter the full address of the website in the address bar, such as www.suomi.fi. You can also bookmark the most important addresses or add them to favourites on your browser.
