Ordering a copy of a registered prenuptial agreement
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency enters details of prenuptial agreements in the register of prenuptial matters. You can request an extract from the register and a copy of the registered prenuptial agreement if, for example, you have lost your own copy.
If the prenuptial agreement has been registered before 1 March 2003, a copy must be requested from the district court that registered the prenuptial agreement. Contact information of all district courts can be found here.
Details of the prenuptial agreement are usually needed for an estate inventory or for the division of property in connection with a divorce.
If you would like to know whether your prenuptial agreement has been registered, you can contact us by electronic service or by telephone. If the prenuptial agreement cannot be found in the register, the order is free of charge.
