If you have changed your name abroad, submit us the form “Change/correction/addition to register information – international matters” under Your data in the Population Information System.

Change of address in Finland

You can notify us about moving in Finland at www.muuttoilmoitus.fi. A suitable form for other changes of address can be found on our website.

You can obtain a paper version of a notification of change of address form from our service locations and Posti's service points. There is no electronic version.

Notification about an extra resident

You can check in the Check your own personal data service to see how many residents have been registered as living in the apartment.

Use the online form to notify us of the removal of a resident if an extra resident has been registered in your apartment.

If you are unable to submit the information concerning your matter using an online form, you can use a PDF form instead:

Is there an error in your address?

If there is an error in your current address or municipality of residence, you can ask us to correct the information using an online form. Fill in the form carefully and explain which information should be corrected and how. Please note that we cannot add missing address data afterwards or delete previous address data.

If you are unable to submit the information concerning your matter using an online form, you can use a PDF form instead.  The file will open in a new tab. Please note that notifications sent with an online form will be processed faster. Save the PDF form on your device before filling it out. Send the form by post to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, P.O. Box 1003, 00531 Helsinki.
