Digital security services
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s Digital Security Services unit provides support in the development of secure services and an operating environment for all areas of public administration.
The unit works extensively with public administration and is therefore able to share best practices with others. The activities are based on networks and extensive co-operation.
The accumulation of knowledge and expertise afforded by digital security benefits public administration enormously. The Digital and Population Data Services Agency Digital Security Services unit also provides an analysed overview of digital security and makes it available to all.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency provides central government organisations with digital security specialist services to enable them to carry out the assignments introduced to improve the organisation’s security. The service helps central government organisations to make use of the wide range of consulting and auditing services related to the various areas of security toward improving and developing information and cybersecurity, risk management, continuity or data protection.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is also responsible for VAHTI's operational activities. Formed by the Ministry of Finance, VAHTI is a co-operative, preparatory, and co-ordinating body of organisations which are responsible for the development and management of digital security.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is also responsible for co-ordinating exercises related to public administration information and cybersecurity and business continuity.
