Applying for a revocation of the right to officiate weddings

A registered religious community or officiator can apply for a revocation of a granted right to officiate weddings.

A registered religious community or officiator can apply for a revocation of a granted right to officiate weddings.

If the applicant is the officiator, they submit a free-form application on the revocation of their right to officiate weddings to the local register office. If the applicant is a religious community, the application must be accompanied with the officiator’s consent or other account on the cancellation of the right to officiate weddings.
