The service certificate must be revoked if there is a suspicion or it turns out that the certificate holder's private key has been revealed. The certificate must also be revoked if it becomes redundant or the intended purpose has changed. The certificate revocation request is made in E-ServicesLink to an external website, Opens in a new tabyja-external-link-opens-in-a-new-tab. The reason for the closure must be stated when making the revocation request. A closed certificate cannot be re-enabled.
DVV also reserves the right to close a service certificate if it turns out that its private key has been revealed or there is reason to suspect misuse.
