Without an appointment, you may very likely have to queue for a long time and you may still not be able to manage your affairs during the same day.

How to use the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s services smoothly: 

Check what matters require a personal visit to the Agency and book an appointment online in advance. You can also book an appointment by phone.

Most matters don't require a visit. For more additional information, see the “Individuals” menu at the top of the page and select the service you need.

The service locations are mainly open to those who have booked an appointment. Be prepared to queue if you have not booked an appointment. If you do not have an appointment, we will provide mainly service advice. Documents can be dropped at the Agency's lobby service or mailbox without queuing.

Please note that dispensing of queueing numbers will be suspended if queues have grown too long. This applies to queueing numbers of registration of foreigners & international registrations, notifications of move.

Service offering

  • In the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, the registration of foreigners is centralised in Helsinki, Porvoo ja Raseborg.
  • You may submit guardianship documents at all service locations.

Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Helsinki service location.
