Property and divorce
We recommend that you make preparations for the division of property when the marriage or cohabitation ends. You can ask a lawyer or other experts to help in the drawing up of the necessary agreements.
Unfortunately, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency cannot help in the preparation of documents concerning the division of property. We only register the completed documents.
Please note that divorces are dealt with by District Courts (and not by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency). More information about divorce can be found in the Suomi.fi Web Service and on the website of the Finnish court system.
