In the remote service, you will get personal advice and guidance.
In the remote service, one of our specialists will advise you through a video connection. Depending on the locality, we offer the remote service on the premises of the Tax Administration or the city. The remote service point has the necessary equipment for establishing a video connection.
What matters can you manage in the remote service?
You can use the remote service when you need personal advice or guidance on our services. Please note that we do not provide advice on guardianship or continuing power of attorney in the remote service.
If the matter requires a personal visit to our service location, you cannot manage it in the remote service. Among others, these matters include the officiation of a marriage, the registration of foreigners and the services of the notary public, such as the authentication of a document.
Also note that you cannot print, scan or leave documents at a remote service point.
Book the appointment in advance
Book the appointment for the remote service in our telephone service. You will find the service-specific contact details on our website. In Mikkeli, you can also book the appointment by visiting the city’s service point.
Bring your ID with you.
If necessary, the personnel at the service point will help you to open the video connection.
The remote service is free of charge.
Localities in which we provide the remote service:
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is additionally participating in the development of remote services together with other authorities. The authorities’ joint remote service concept will be piloted from September 2025 to February 2026 at Suomi-piste service point in Imatra, Nurmes and Porvoo. The pilot carried out in these three cities is part of the project reforming the state service and facility network in the 2020s.
