In Finland, official mail will primarily be received electronically starting in 2026. The Digital and Population Data Services Agency organised webinars for citizens in January 2026 about the transition to digital official mail.

The webinars explained how and when official mail will change, what the reform means, who it concerns, and how you can return to paper mail if necessary. Experts from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency also answered questions from the audience.

Watch the subtitled recording on agency's YouTube channel.

The next webinars will be organised once the law on primarily digital official mail enters into force.
