Accessibility of the DVV e-Services

This accessibility statement explains how well the DVV e-Services online service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the website and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for this online service. We want as many users as possible to be able to access our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of digital services.

How accessible is the website?

This online service largely meets the A and AA level accessibility criteria required by law (WCAG criteria 2.1). The online service has some shortcomings in accessibility, which are described in more detail below.

The online service is not yet fully accessible.

Content or features that are not yet accessible

  • The heading hierarchy is inconsistent, and texts that are semantically not headings have been marked as headings. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.6)

  • The status of sections in forms has been communicated using colour alone. (WCAG 1.4.1)

  • Some of the colour combinations used in the online service do not meet the minimum colour contrast requirement. (WCAG 1.4.3)

  • Keyboard focus is not visible in certain user interface elements. (WCAG 2.4.7)

  • There is no method for bypassing blocks of navigation. (WCAG 2.4.1)

  • The time limit is not announced via assistive technologies, and it is not manageable by the user. (WCAG 2.2.1)

  • The page title remains the same on each page. (WCAG 2.4.2)

  • There is no keyboard access to all the user interface elements.  (WCAG 2.1.1)

  • There are some inconsistencies in the semantic structure of the online service. For example, tables have been used for layout purposes. Tables are not implemented in a way that their structure could be determined appropriately via assistive technologies. (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.1, 4.1.2)

  • There are certain user interface elements which cannot be programmatically determined. For example, certain elements do not have an associated label. The menus are not announced correctly via assistive technologies. The expandable sections are not announced correctly via assistive technologies. The form elements have not been grouped appropriately. (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2) 

  • All status messages are not announced via assistive technologies, for example there is no confirmation on adding or removing attached files.  (WCAG 4.1.3)

An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement during 2020.
