From 12.5.2025, around 2.8 million people will be encouraged to activate Suomi.fi messages when they log in to public administration e-services.
The prompt displayed in connection with Suomi.fi e-Identification may increase traffic in the customer service of organisations using Suomi.fi e-Identification and Suomi.fi Messages. It is important that every public administration organisation informs its customers about this change.
On 4 April 2025, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency has published communication materials that organisations can use when informing their customers about the upcoming change and training their own staff to communicate the change.
The toolkit was published at a communicators' meeting for public administration communicators.
