Accessibility of the Guardianship e-service

This accessibility statement explains how well the Guardianship e-service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the website and how you can give us feedback on accessibility issues.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for this online service. We want as many users as possible to be able to access our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of digital services. We regularly assess the accessibility of our services as part of planning and development work.

How accessible is the website?

This online service largely meets the A and AA level accessibility criteria required by law (WCAG criteria 2.1). The online service has some shortcomings in accessibility, which are described in more detail below.

We are constantly striving to improve the accessibility of the online service. If you find any issues that are not described on this page, please let us know and we will do our best to fix them. We will respond
as soon as possible, but at latest within two weeks.

Accessibility monitoring

Traficom monitors the implementation of accessibility requirements. Detailed information on technical accessibility

The online service is not yet fully accessible.  

Content or features that are not yet accessible

  • The context of some buttons and fields may be difficult to determine with assistive devices. (WCAG criterion 1.3.1)

  • The buttons inside the sections that require opening may at first seem empty when using a screen reader. (WCAG criterion 1.3.1)

  • The service has some buttons that are marked as links in their programmatic role. (WCAG criterion 1.3.1)

  • Feedback is not always provided on assistive devices when adding files. (WCAG criterion 4.1.3)

  • After deleting some of the content added to the application, the text cursor may jump to the top of the page. (WCAG criterion 2.4.3)

  • Some dialogues do not have a name that can be read with assistive devices. (WCAG 4.1.2)

  • Some error messages are displayed immediately before data is entered or when a file is still being downloaded. (WCAG 3.3.1)

  • Most views do not have a unique page titles. (WCAG 2.4.2)

An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement by August 2025.

How have we tested accessibility?

The accessibility of the website has been assessed regularly by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency's accessibility expert as a part of the design and development process.

The service has been assessed using a checklist based on the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. In addition, the service has been tested using keyboard only, the most common screen readers (NVDA on Chrome, JAWS on Chrome, VoiceOver on Safari/macOS, and VoiceOver on Safari/iOS), and Windows contrast themes.
