CA Certificates

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s certification authority certificates (root certificates, CA certificates) can be installed by clicking on them on this page. The certificates are installed on the browser’s list of trusted main certification authorities.

The certificates are detailed in the Fineid-S2 -specification. For certificate summaries, see section 9.

The certificate card always contains two CA certificates. The one is the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s root certificate. The other CA certificate on the card depends on the card type and issue date.

The certificates issued by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency are trusted in Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS and Apple iOS operating systems and in applications relying on the root certificate stores of these operating systems.

At the start of its activities, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency will continue to issue certificates under the name of the Population Register Centre. In the future, certificates will be issued under the name of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency.
